Position Summary

Reporting to the Recreation Assistant and Skating Coordinator you will ensure a safe, enjoyable skating experience to skaters during scheduled recreational skate times. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and enjoyable skating environment.
  • Respond to First Aid emergencies in accordance to your First Aid Certification.
  • Complete all necessary forms (accident, incident reports) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries.
  • Represent the City of Richmond Hill by presenting yourself in a cooperative, organized, enthusiastic and well groomed manner.
  • Know and understand the policies and procedures of the Community Services Department.
  • Maintain all current certifications and send updated copies to the Recreation Assistant.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum age of 15 years
  • Standard First Aid and CPR – C.
  • Complete all corporate trainings/certifications as required
