Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Water and Wastewater, the Water Technician administers the Infill Servicing Contract, curb cutting and ditch infilling for the City.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare tender documents
- Communicate with contractor regarding project expectations
- Provide work orders
- Check and inspect completed work
- Review and comment on CCTV Inspection Reports regarding existing sanitary lateral
- Determine whether existing structure is sufficient or requires replacement
- Confirm applications for curb cutting comply with applicable by-laws
- Conduct site visit, measure, and paint curb for work
- Coordinate appropriate contractor, and follow up to ensure work is completed appropriately
- Prepare files and provide service cost reports as required
- Gather and review data related to applications including drawings, CCTV records, survey plans, etc.
- Process and track invoices appropriately
- Data enter information and maintain databases
Education and Experience
- Diploma in Civil Engineering - Construction or related discipline
- CET designation or related designation is required
- 5 years related experience
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, OnPoint, Maximo, Sharpdesk
- Organizational skills
