Position Summary
Community Engagement Librarian
Responsible to research, develop, plan, and evaluate community-centric engagement programs and activities supporting the various customer groups served by the Library.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Common responsibilities regardless of work assignment
- Actively works in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Library
- Actively participates on committees and interdepartmental teams
- Contributes to the completion of special projects
- May be engaged in social media campaigns and activities to build customer engagement and support
- May take on leadership accountabilities in the absence of management
- Responsible to adhere to established policies and procedures (occupational health and safety, employment, communications, etc.)
- Performs other duties as necessary
Community Engagement:
- Research, plan, develop and evaluate community-centric programs, activities, and events, determining and scheduling guest speakers, etc.
- Builds and fosters positive relations with community organizations, planning and arranging for outreach activities to support the community
- Plans and develops materials for instructional skill development and training programs
- Creates presentations, materials, content for various uses such as social media, website use, program and service use
- Develops and provides resources to Customer Experience team, supporting resolution of information services queries and questions.
- Performs and conducts in-depth research and reference support based on community program and customer requests, and collaborates with Content Development to support readers advisory activities.

Education and Experience
- Master of Library/Information Science Degree from an ALA accredited or equilvalent program
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to complete research and develop various programs and activities
- Ability to complete analysis, track and interpret data trends and develop instructional materials
